FIND ADVENTURE IN ANY SEASON

On the breathtaking coast of Maine, every season offers an opportunity for outdoor adventures and recreation, as well as indoor activities like spa treatments, winery tours, and boutique shopping.

The lush springtime is an ideal opportunity to explore the small, quintessential town of Camden, where blossoming trees line the streets and rocky coastline waterfalls brim with sparkling winter melt from the mountains. The spring is a perfect opportunity to take in the daytime sunshine aboard a schooner or to enjoy the first crops from our gardens at Natalie’s restaurant.

The warm summer is one of the most beautiful seasons in Camden, as the weather is stunning, the water is mild, and the streets are bustling. Enjoy a  lobster lunch picnic atop Mount Battie, or simply wander along the coastline and soak up the sunshine. In the evening, take in the glowing sunset over the harbor with a designer cocktail or enjoy an alfresco dinner on our porch or at the many restaurants on the harbor. How about fried calamari at Rhumb line while watching the sailboats docked in the harbor?

The crisp Autumn is arguably the most stunning season on the coast, as the leaves are changing to rich shades of gold and red on the mountains and lush islands. A favorite fall activity for visitors and locals is hiking the local trails and mountains, or enjoying a wine tasting at a local vineyard. We offer a wonderful package including sailing the harbor, kayaking a nearby lake and a half day bike rental. Join one of the many farmer harvest cooking classes we offer.

The serene winter provides a sparkling, pristine background to winter weddings and celebrations. With the mountains and islands blanketed in snow and coastal rocks shimmering with ice, and the harbor is set like a deep blue sapphire against the peaceful landscape. In winter, both locals and visitors enjoy skiing at the Camden Snowbowl, a small ski mountain where you can ski, snowboard, cross-country ski, tube and toboggan. Once a year in the second weekend of February the National Toboggan Championships are held.

No matter what season you choose to visit, you’re sure to have a memorable experience.

"Every aspect of the Inn was tailored to ensure that we had a good experience. The staff were personal, friendly, attentive and even went out of their way to research answer questions we had about local traditions. Will definitely return soon!"
