Day 1
Kittery Outlets – Kittery
Once you cross the border into vacationland, start your trip with a little shopping spree. Kittery boasts over 120 stores, with many brand name and designer retailers selling gear at discount outlet prices. Grab some back to school clothes for the kids and some weekend attire for yourselves.

Bissell Brothers Brewing Company – Portland
Maine, in particular, Portland, is home to an expansive craft beer scene. One of the local brewing houses, Bissell Brothers, has a strong national following because of it’s out of this world brews. They are located at Thompson’s Point, a waterfront concert pavilion that boasts several breweries and a winery to boot. If you’re not really into microbrews but would prefer a bottle of local wine instead, head next door to Cellardoor Winery’s Portland locale.

Street & Company – Portland
After all of that shopping and sipping fine brews, it’s time to eat. Portland is home to a haven of great restaurants. Street & Company, one of the original, is still considered one of the best venues in the city for its seafood. Mussels to die for, and everything else including dessert. Bon Appetit.

The Danforth Inn – Portland
Stuffed and tired, it’s time to put your feet up and relax with some wine at The Danforth Inn, Portland’s only luxury boutique inn. A historic building, the inn has been hosting travelers for over two centuries. It offers charm and style and is the perfect romantic respite on your adventure’s first night.

Day 2
Red’s Eats – Wiscasset
As you slowly make your way up Maine’s coast enjoying the brilliant foliage, you can’t come to Maine and not indulge in a lobster roll or three. Red’s Eats offers one of the best on the coast. Stuffed with delicious lobster meat on the perfectly browned and buttered roll, you will remember this stop and might even loop back around on the way home.

Cadillac Mountain – Bar Harbor
Located in historic Acadia National Park, Cadillac Mountain will be the cherry on your fall coastal trip. It is the highest point along the North Atlantic Seaboard and offers majestic views of the islands and harbor below. Cadillac Mountain is the first place to see the sun for 6 months out of the calendar year and is the perfect setting for all of Maine’s autumn beauty.

Camden Harbour Inn – Camden
